So im stuck two hours away from home en route back from holiday..... my friend locked my car keys in my car!! Stuck in hicksville, drinking my third cup of coffee because my car is "breakinproof". Right now wishing it was "keysnotabletobelockedinproof"

I'm in South Africa, we don't have On Star unfortunately! AA requires me to sign a membership agreement before they come out but not to worry anyway because they don't have anyone close by. I went to the police and they told me best thing to do was break a window :(

It's called RACV in Victoria, Australia. Same deal.......about three unlocks per year last time I heard. Cops don't like to get involved usually for liability reasons. Even if you prove you own the car.

Ta taz - sometimes a wire coat hanger twisted at the top can unlock most cars but be prepared with patience if not an expert.

ah you've probably done it by now but I have been known to break into cars ( for people leaving keys in , honest). If you need me, call back.

Poor Taz. Hanging around a shopping centre will find you a thief/helper. Or a hospital.

That's a shame, Tazing. I wish I could hurl a rock that far and break a window for you......I think Ajax is on the right track here....a young car thief would accommodate you for a few dollars. I mean to get into your car, of course!

Lol, hahha, all good advice - I was waiting for Japie ( a so called bush mechanic) to look at my car but he never pitched!! Got my boyfriend to bring my spare key to me so I was rescued :D Life is never short of adventure hey! Its nice to know that my car is break in proof being in SA and all - would of tried wire hanger but locks go flush with door! I even tried getting wire into the car to press the unlock button on the very annoying keys sitting 30cm away behind glass!!)

(Did I mention that this little town didn't even have a locksmith in the near area or shopping centre or much signs of life despite being on a main highway .... its a very long two hours from anywhere apparently!)
