Certain residents in my household have been getting a kick out of changing my profile pic if I happen to leave the computer unattended while logged on to Factacular.
Today, it's this one.
:'-)
Happy mother's day ladies  xx

Happy Mother's Day to all of you too. We've had this year's already in the UK, and our Norwegian resident confused me by dutifully ringing up in February.

New cunning plan: collect world-wide dates and tell the family that all apply.

Oh, rest assured madam, she most certainly exsists.  Mild mannered & unassuming for 364 days of the year, on Mothers Day she becomes SuperChicken whose mother-henliness is acknowledged by a grateful brood (of one plus a rooster who's going a bit grey).
The next day, she goes back to matching the socks.

I hope you had a nice mother's day Sally

Do some of the super powers remain to aid in the travelling to that strange dimension where lost socks reside?

SuperChicken uses her powers to locate the mobile phone, keys, credit cards etc. Her sense of humour can be cruel in the matter of the unmatched sock. Mere mortals decide that after 3 months the unmatched sock should be binned and SuperChicken finds it's pair for us the day after.

Leaving you to forever wonder if this sock really is the missing partner or you forgot to bin the first sock (or the cat retrieved it) and this is actually sock 1.

Well, for a start, Super Chicken was a "He" in the 1990s  sense.

I like to think that Fred backed him up on that.

I had a great mother's day thank you Chooky - both daughters emailed me book vouchers - texted me happy mothers day and then stayed away.  The best mothers day is a child free one I joked for years - the last couple of years they have taken me at my word - LOL!!!!  All cool - one is over in QLD anyway - and the other one who lives in the next suburb had her mother-in-law visiting so had enough on her plate with that one.

Jmaxg is getting things a little mixed up. He's referring to Super Chicken - the 1960s  super-powerless superhero who was crap at handling a sword & got blown up a lot, not SuperChicken who sometimes can't find her car-keys when she's holding them.

The sock that's second from the right looks mighty familiar!

I know I'm way behind on most references to popular culture and have to google quite a lot that I see on Factacular, particularly cartoons and animations, but, please what is a "He" in the 1990's sense? I'm very slightly nervous of googling that.

"He" in the 1990s sense is not nearly so confusing as it is in the + 2000s  ; )

Ya forgot his "super-sauce".....which appeared to be a simple vodka martini (with olive) to me.

My favourite socially responsible philosphical mantra:

"Ya knew the job was dangerous when ya took it Fred!"
