Jonesy -- Francis in the Navy (1955) -- The 6th film in the Francis the Talking Mule series & Eastwood's first credited role.
Lt Jack Rice -- The First Travelling Saleslady (1956) -- The owner of a failing corset company is trying to turn her fortunes around. Eastwood palys only a minor role as a policeman. James Arness, star of the T.V. series Gunsmoke, appears as a cattle rancher.
George Moseley -- Lafayette Escadrille (1958) -- A rich, spoiled Bostonian joins the French Foreign Legion and becomes a volunteer pilot during WWI. The minor role played by Eastwood was based on a real person, George Clark Mosely, an American football player who served with the Lafayette Flying Corp. The lead role was played by Tab Hunter.
Keith Williams -- Ambush at Cimarron Pass (1958) -- He allegedly said about this movie "Probably the lousiest western ever made"
Lt Morris Schaffer -- Where Eagles Dare (1968) -- A group of WWII Allied comandos are on a mission to rescue a U.S. Brigadier General who has been captured by the Germans.
Pardner -- Paint Your Wagon (1969) -- Based on the Broadway musical by Lerner & Loewe. Set in a mining camp during the California gold-rush. Eastwood sings several of the songs. Also stars Lee Marvin and Jean Seberg.
Hogan -- Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970) -- A gunslinger teams up with a nun to help a goup of Mexican revoutionaries during the French intervention in Mexico. Co-stars Shirley MacLaine as Sister Sara.
Jonathan Hemlock -- The Eiger Sanction (1975) -- A government assassin turned art history professor is called upon to perform more "sanctions" (killings) with one of the targets being a member of a mountain climbing team attempting an ascent of the Eiger mountain. Eastwood both starred & directed and also did his own climbing & stunts.
Bronco Billy McCoy -- Bronco Billy (1980) -- Directed by Eastwood. Bronco Billy McCoy "the fastest gun in the west" is the star of a rundown travelling circus. The role of Antoinette Lily earned co-star Sondra Locke a Golden Raspberry Award nomination for Worst Actress. Two of Eastwood's children - Alison & Kyle - made uncredited appearances.
Philo Beddoe -- Any Which Way You Can (1980) -- "Right turn Clyde" Sequel to Every Which Way but Loose.
Mitchell Gant -- Firefox (1982) -- British & American intelligence services recruit a former fighter pilot to steal a Soviet fighter aircraft with extremely advanced capabilities including radar invisibility & weapons controlled by thought. Eastwood produced & directed.
Harry Callahan -- Sudden Impact (1983) -- The fourth film in the Dirty Harry series & the only one directed by Eastwood himself. A gang rape victim seeks vengenge years later by killing off her attackers one by one. Callahan is tasked with investigating the killings. It is at the beginning of this movie that he utters the immortal catchprase "Go ahead, make my day"
Lt Speer -- City Heat (1984)-- A cop and cop turned private eye who were once friends must put aside their differences to defeat the bad guys. also starrng Burt Reynolds, Jane Alexander, Madeline Kahn, Rip Torn (Zed in 'Men in Black') and Richard Roundtree (of 'Shaft' fame}
Preacher -- Pale Rider (1985)-- A mysterious stranger, known as 'Preacher' arrives in a California mining town in time to foil the plans of a corrupt big-time miner and his cohorts. The character of Preacher was, according to Eastwood, "an ou-and-out ghost" - similar the to the Man With No Name in High Plains Drifter. Produced & directed by Eastwood, it was the highest grossing western of the 1980s.
Harry Callahan -- The Dead Pool (1988) -- Fifth and final Dirty Harry movie. Horror movie director Peter Swan (Liam Neeson) invents a betting game called "the dead pool" Callahan must track down the serial killer who starts killing off celebrities whose names are in "the pool" Also stars Patricia Walker and Evan Kim. Jim Carrey appears in his first dramatic role as rock singer Johnny Squares.
Tommy Nowak -- Pink Cadillac (1989) -- Bail jumper Lou Ann McGuinn takes her husband's prizrd cadillac & flees from bounty hunter Tommy Nowak & also a group of neo-nazis who are after counterfeit cash which, unknown to Lou Ann, is hidden in the trunk. Co-stars Bernadette Peters with cameos by Bryan Adams & Jim Carrey
Nick Pulovski -- The Rookie (1990) -- A rookie detective (Charlie Sheen) is teamed with a veteran officer with a long list of dead partners. They have to take down a car-theft ring despite Pulovski (Clint Eastwood) being kicked off the case. Co-stars Raul Julia, Sonia Braga, Lara Flynn Boyle
