I just realized that I have been playing more often than Sammi this past few months, which is soooooooooooo not usual for us, so I figured I would let you in on what has been keeping my daughter busy.

Being a senior is high school is by far, one of the most exciting times in the life of a child...soon to be adult, and Sammi has been enjoying every bit of it.

Soooo....starting in March, she had her Senior Banquet...a party ONLY for the Seniors in her school. A couple days later we welcomed Rebecca, our German exchange student for three fun filled weeks which included school trips to NYC, Philadelphia, and Washington DC and family trips to my family in northern NJ where we celebrated Thanksgiving...a holiday not typical in Germany.

April was just busy, busy busy....she and her sister spent a week before Easter visiting her Dad's family in FL and then the fun really started.

On May 22, Sammi went to her Senior Prom...she was stunning! A week later, we had a graduation party for her and many of her friends came and we had a wonderful time. THis past Wednesday, she won 2 senior awards, another on Thursday as well as receiving her yearbook and finally she graduated high school on Friday afternoon with 400 of her classmates and witnessed by 550 friends and family of the graduates.

We might think it would end there, but yesterday, she boarded a plane to Germany where she will be spending 3 weeks traveling and staying with Rebecca's family. When she comes home, she will have some family time until she begins her new academic career as a student at Hofstra University in the fall!!!

For me....I get to rest for a bit!!! All for now!!

The proud Momma!

For a moment, I read the title and thought "Uh-oh...if she doesn't know where Sammi is then this spells trouble!"

Glad to discover that this isn't the internet equivalent of the side of a milk carton.

Congratulations to Sammi. Wish her the best of luck for uni.

Sammi is such a wonderful girl! You have such a great daughter Tallyho.

Being senior in high-school myself, I can assure you that this period is busy a lot. There's the graduation party, final matura exams, finding your university etc.

Have a nice trip in Germany Sammi. I hope you'll have such a nice time there.

The shortest distance between Franfurt and Skopje is 1372 km / 853 miles. If you were a bird, you could take that route. If you wanted to take the train, the shortest train journey is over 28 hours, with 3 changes. Flying would be better - four hours from Frankfurt to Skopje, with a change of planes in Budapest. Or, a little less than five hours with a connection in Ljubljana. Or you could meet in between - the closest major cities are Ljubljana, Slovenia and Zagreb, Croatia. Another choice would be to triangulate and meet in Budapest or Vienna. Choose whichever city has the best restaurants.
