Facta World Cup
This is a Kevvie-type challenge that will be played in teams of 4. Find 3 others from your country, think of a suitably patriotic team name and post your team.
If you can't find a team, post your name and we will match you up with others from the same country or create a mixed country team with those left.
The World Cup Tournament will commence on Monday August 22nd, 2011 at approximately 7.15 am GMT.
The rules are listed below. Sign-up closes around 1am Sunday August 22nd GMT. Sign up for individuals may close earlier if the numbers are right but full teams will be accepted until Monday 1 am GMT
GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION
Competition will consist of a two random brainoffs against each of the teams in the competition. You will receive brainoffs from ‘Tournament’ or ‘Tournament Helper’.
Two points for a win, one for a draw. The competition will be a team one and the group with the highest cumulative total wins. In the event of a tie the team with the highest points difference will win. A progressive Results Table will be posted in a public forum. A lot of this process is now manual so updates will be a little less frequent but at least once per day. If you notice any discrepancies in your team scores please PM JMK.
In case the Factacular site hiccups, we will spring into action and resolve issues as soon as the site is up and running and continue with the competition. We do respectfully ask that everyone play their challenges as soon as possible after receiving them --- you will be less likely be affected if the site goes down. We will only replay challenges if the site is down for more than 12 hours on the last day of a challenge. We will not replay for anyone letting the challenge time out or for minor site glitches.
The Tournament Organiser or her Partner volunteer their own time, so have some patience with the resolution of any problems that you may encounter and expect that there may be delays in the immediate posting of results as these are updated manually. Please send a private message to JMK or Java if you encounter problems or discrepancies. Decisions made by Tournament Organiser or her Partner are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Invite other members to come and play! Let’s see a spirit of fun and lots of friendly comments in the brainoffs. Remember - it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.
