Minties Movie Moments Sign Up March 2012
WELCOME TO Minties’ Movie Moments
Consider yourself a Movie maestro?
Are movies your forte?
Is your DVD player your best friend?
Can you name who won the best picture Oscars for the last 10 years?
Do you sometimes want to ride off into the sunset?
Do you act out the scenes from movies when you hear the theme tunes?
Or do you just want a bit of fun?
If you answered yes to any of the above, then this is the tournament for you.
The Minties’ Movie Moments Tournament will commence on Monday March 26th, 2011 at approximately 7.15 am GMT.
The rules are listed below. To take part, simply post “I’m in” in this thread. Sign-up closes 1am March 26th GMT.
GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION
Competition will consist of six (6) different movie subject brainoffs of 10 questions being sent everyday for five days - a total of 30 different movie subjects. You will receive brainoffs from ‘Tournament’. Only the Tournament Director and her Partner have knowledge of the subjects to be sent. Hopefully there will be something to suit everyone.
The competition will be an individual one but you will be playing in groups in a similar manner to the Decathlon. The individual with the highest cumulative total wins. A progressive Results Table will be posted in a public forum. In the case of a tie The Tournament Director or her Partner will send three (3) specific subject brainoffs to break the tie. Awards will be given at the end of the tournament for whatever takes the fancy of Tournament Director and her Partner.
There will be a rally each day too. Details to come.
In case the Factacular site hiccups, we will spring into action and resolve issues as soon as the site is up and running and continue with the competition. We do respectfully ask that everyone play their challenges as soon as possible after receiving them --- you will be less likely be affected if the site goes down. We will only replay challenges if the site is down for more than 12 hours on the last day of a challenge. We will not replay for anyone letting the challenge time out or for minor site glitches.
The Tournament Director or her Partner volunteer their own time, so have some patience with the resolution of any problems that you may encounter and expect that there may be delays in the immediate posting of results as these are updated manually. Please send a private message to JMK or Javalyne if you encounter problems or discrepancies. Decisions made by Tournament Director or her Partner are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Invite other members to come and play! Let’s see a spirit of fun and lots of friendly comments in the brainoffs. Remember - it’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game.

A bit late but here it is, will give rally details later. Challenges may be an hour two late or early as I intend going to the movies during the week at the time I usually send. Good excuse in a movie tournament :)
